Since 1985, a family of believers learning to follow Jesus together in Toronto.
Why "Remnant"
The name “Remnant” is not meant to sound exclusive or small; it is a biblical promise. Throughout Scripture, God always preserves a faithful few, a remnant, through whom He brings restoration, healing and hope to the world.
We exist to create a spiritual home where:
- Prayer is our first response, not our last resort.
- Healing is expected: spiritually, emotionally and physically.
- No one walks alone. We are a family following Jesus together.
Founding Pastors
Pastors Abel & Mayra Casillas
Pastors Abel & Mayra Casillas are originally from Puerto Rico and are the founders of Faithful Remnant Church in the city of Toronto, Canada.
Their ministry of more than 40 years has greatly impacted this city and nation, where their major focus has been the formation of leaders to help expand the Kingdom of God.
What we believe
Our faith rests on the central truths of the gospel, as revealed in Scripture.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, our final authority for faith and life.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died for our sins, rose on the third day and will return again.
We believe salvation is a gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe in the present work of the Holy Spirit, who guides, comforts and empowers the church to live and serve.
We believe the church is the family of God, called to worship, make disciples and carry the gospel to the nations.
